We are partnering with the DSI Scientific Network for capacity strengthening in the field of Digital Sequence Information (DSI). There are important developments with regard to the future of the ABS/Nagoya framework and with regard to the question of how to harmonize with the practices of Open Science in an equitable manner.
At COP16, a multilateral mechanism for the fair and equitable sharing of benefits from the use of DSI on genetic resources was adopted, including a global fund (Cali Fund).
We started our collaboration with the DSI Scientific Network with a one hour online seminar the DSI Scientific Network kindly provided to our network. It was a great opportunity to learn about their valuable work!
